Customer Reviews about Jessica Launh, APRN
- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I have been a patient of Jessica Launh, APRN's for over 5 years now. She has always provided compassionate, professional, competent care with every single visit. It was her astute physical exam that caught an early breast cancer tumor on a routine yearly physical that I am most appreciative of. She immediately ordered all appropriate tests and referrals with breast care specialists associated with Mass General to evaluate me, and personally followed up on my diagnosis. I highly recommend Jessica Launh, APRN to all my friends and family!June 28, 2017by Lynne Hawkins
- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I would recommend that people AVOID seeing Jessica Launh APRN. The experiences I've had with her have only exhibited her lack of professional integrity. I'm having a hard time understanding her reason for dishonesty since the mistake she made is not lawsuit or loss of license worthy. It was a small mistake that originated from being uneducated/unfamiliar on a particular (common) medication she prescribed. The reason for the 1 star rating is not because she misinformed a patient but because I feel that she blatantly lied about it after and for really no good reason. My experience is based on two appointments with her. The first one resulted in being prescribed a common drug which I had been prescribed by my OBGYN in previous years. She then advised me to book a follow up appointment with her for 2-3 weeks later. At the follow up appointment I only had one concern/question since it had been a while since I had taken this medication. When I asked her the question about administering the meds she referenced her smartphone, then left the exam room for a few minutes. When she came back in, she said she had asked somebody else my question and they were in agreement with her answer that she gave after she referenced her phone. I don't know what transpired and with who outside the exam room but I do know the answer she gave me was unfortunately 100% wrong, basically the opposite of what she should have told me. I even asked the question twice to reiterate since I remembered taking the same medication differently a few years back and she did not hesitate in confirming her original answer. I left the appointment and voiced my concern to my husband and later spoke to my pharmacist who verified the information that Jessica Launh gave me was in fact incorrect. I'm glad I followed my gut instinct. It's unfortunate to go into a follow up appointment and only have one concern and have it be neglected, and I believe the neglect just stems from pure laziness. An acceptable answer would have been "Let me look into this and get back to you" or even "I don't know, Let's check with your pharmacist" would have been more acceptable than just giving incorrect information. It also makes me wonder what she was referencing on her smartphone? My real issue is when at a later date I spoke to Jessica Launh, I told her that the information she provided me on how to take the medication was wrong & she completely denied it! I wish I could say her dishonesty stems from remembering the situation differently but where our appointment was very uneventful and my ONE question was based on previous experiences with this drug I know I did not mishear or misunderstand her as her answer was going against what I believed to be correct. I would have left the appointment at ease if she had confirmed my original thought on what was correct but instead she told me the opposite which just didn't sit right. Where there are no repercussions for admitting she gave me incorrect information (I'm fine), her choice to not be accountable for her actions I feel is based purely on immaturity and lack of professionalism. For her to lie to me, and I can only assume she knows that I know she is lying is unfathomable to me. I don't see how anyone benefits from the situation except that she keeps her pride and her practice loses a patient. At this point I just feel fortunate that I'm a healthy individual and that I did not consult her about a more serious health issue or dangerous medication. I feel her lack of ambition to acquire the proper information for her patients is quite scary but even scarier is to lie about something that really doesn't need to be lied about. It's a shame since I have had good care there in the past and their new facility is very nice but I cannot see myself ever returning to an establishment that employs someone who I believe lacks in basic morals.January 15, 2017by Christine N
